Data source connection with PostgreSQL
About this lesson
You can create data source connections with PostgreSQL in applications developed through the Kuika low-code platform and carry out your work with the PostgreSQL database. PostgreSQL is an open source and powerful relational database management system (RDBMS) that offers significant advantages in terms of data integrity, scalability, and performance.
You can quickly and easily integrate your PostgreSQL database into applications developed with Kuika. With this integration, you can use tables and stored procedures located on PostgreSQL within the Kuika platform and interact with the database.
You can use the Kuika Datasources module to create a PostgreSQL connection. To add a new data source, simply click the “+” icon in the module. Select the PostgreSQL DB option in the window that opens to access the connection creation screen.
Two different methods are offered on the Postgre data source addition screen. In the first method, you need to manually enter information such as the server address, database information, username, and password of the Postgre database server.
In addition to the manual method, you can also connect to your PostgreSQL database using the Connection String information belonging to the PostgreSQL database. To use the Connection String, you need to activate the Switch on the screen and define the Connection String information in the template structure on the screen.
After completing the information entry in both methods, you can test the data source connection with the Test button located at the top edge and complete the data connection by clicking the CREATE button in the upper right corner.
Thanks to Kuika's interface and flexible infrastructure, you can manage your PostgreSQL connection quickly and efficiently, and create secure and scalable solutions. With a properly configured PostgreSQL integration, you can simplify data management, accelerate your business processes, and develop more effective applications.
