The report designer is the view mode where you can design reports, contracts, proposals, etc. offered by Kuika.

You can open the Report Designer view mode with the Report Designer icon from the view modes in the Header in the application just like other view modes.

Let's proceed by opening the Report Designer view mode.

The screen that opens comes with a report naming field for you to create a new report design. Name the report design and click the CREATE button.

When you create a new report, you will be greeted by the Canvas where you can make your report designs.

The Canvas in Report Designer, where you carry out the design process, has a more flexible usage structure than UI Design.

When we examine the canvas, a squared and free position structure welcomes us.

The free position structure allows you to freely add elements to any area on the canvas.

Report Designer view mode has panels with different functions to carry out the report design process.

In Report Designer view mode, there are Elements, Reports, Custom actions, and Item Tree panels on the left. On the right are the Properties and Styling panels.

Let's take a look at these panels together.

Our first panel is the Elements Panel; the Elements panel does not contain all the elements in UI Design view mode. Header, Footer, Label, Icon, Icon, Panel, Image, Barcode Renderer, Report Table, and QR Renderer elements are available in the Elements panel to use in your report design preparation process.

They have more personalized features than the elements in the UI Design panel. When adding elements to Canvas from the Elements panel, they are added by creating a panel.

Another panel on the left side is the Reports panel.

The reports panel is the panel that allows you to create a new report in the application and allows you to list the reports you have created. While you can create a new report through this panel, you can change the name of the reports you have already created, create a copy of the reports, or delete the reports.

Another panel, the Custom Actions panel, allows you to create and manage custom actions that you want to use in your application and report design.

This panel also lists the actions you have previously created in UI Design and Datasources view modes.

The last panel on the left side is the Item Tree panel. Through the Item Tree panel, you can see the parent-child hierarchy of the elements you use in your report design and select the element you want to work on.

After the panels on the left side, let's look at the panels on the right side.

Our first panel on the right is the Properties panel. The Properties panel is the panel where the properties of the report and elements are managed, just like in UI Design view mode.

With the Properties panel, you can perform data operations, action binding operations, element and report-specific operations, and visibility operations.

Another panel on the right side is the Styling panel. Through the Styling panel, you can carry out styling arrangements for the background of the Canvas on which you design the report. Again, through the Styling panel, you can also perform element-specific style arrangements of the elements you use in the report design.
