Glossary

Script Task

A Script Task is a type of task that enables the execution of a specific code or script in business processes. In the Kuika Process Automation module, Script Task is used for operations that need to be performed automatically in the process flow and facilitates operations that do not require manual intervention. This task can be configured to run under certain conditions and runs the relevant code in the background, keeping the flow of the process uninterrupted.

Script Task can be used for a wide range of tasks, from simple data operations to complex calculations. For example, in a sales process, Script Task can be used to automatically calculate a customer's discount rate based on the total order amount. Thus, fast and accurate results are obtained without the need for manual intervention.

Script Tasks make business processes more efficient, help save time and reduce the error rate. In this way, automation processes run faster and more reliably, accelerating the process of achieving business goals.

Subprocess

A subprocess is a workflow that contains a specific set of tasks or actions, formed by breaking a main business process into smaller, independently processable parts. In the Kuika Process Automation module, subprocesses are used to make complex processes more manageable and efficient. Sub-workflows can be defined and executed independently while working as a part of the main process, so that processes can be organized in a modular structure.

Sub-workflows can run in their own loops without affecting the overall flow of the main process, but contribute to broader business outcomes by exchanging data with the main process when necessary. For example, in a customer order process, sub-workflows such as inventory control, payment processing and logistics can be created. These sub-workflows speed up the process by focusing on related tasks and allow the main process to be managed more easily. This provides flexibility and scalability in business processes, increases performance and shortens the time to achieve business goals. Sub-workflows contribute to the dynamic and effective management of processes.

Simulation

Simulation is the process of testing and analyzing a business process to evaluate how it works under various scenarios. In the Kuika Process Automation module, Simulation is a tool used in process design and helps to predict the performance of the process by observing the effect of certain variables. It allows us to analyze how different inputs or conditions affect the flow of the process, so it becomes possible to identify potential bottlenecks, areas for improvement and efficiency opportunities. Process testing allows for more informed decision-making and optimization of the process.

Survey

Survey is most commonly used to describe a method of collecting information from a defined sample of individuals. A set of questions is presented to a specific group of respondents. The answers to the questions are predetermined. Surveys are an important tool for consolidating and analyzing data, collecting information about the opinions, behavior or knowledge of this targeted group of respondents. They can be conducted in different ways, such as by telephone, internet, face-to-face.

Scheduled Jobs

Automated workpieces that can be performed in a specific time frame and/or in a repetitive structure.
