Method Input

Symbol Picker

About this lesson

The APIs you create on the Kuika platform through the API Builder module allow you to share your data on the platform with other applications. In these APIs, you can get input data to the API from an external environment through a feature called Method Input. For example, when you want to get the information needed to perform an action from outside, you can use the Symbol Picker's Method Input category to add this data to the API and specify this data as the parameters of your action. This way, you can easily manage the data you need when interacting with other applications through Kuika.

For example, when you open a staff list as a data source through the API to the outside world, you may want to list staff by their registration number through this API in a different environment. In this scenario, you can take the registration number as Method Input and access the staff list using this input.
