With Kuika, you can easily publish a mobile application you have developed on the Google Play Store. In this process, you can complete the necessary procedures for the publication of your application by following the steps below.
In this learning content, you will learn how to publish mobile apps you have developed with Kuika to the Google Play Store. Step by step, in a simple way. Let's get started!
To publish an app on the Google Play Store, you must first have a Google Developer account.
If you don't already have an account, you can create one through the Google Play Console. This is a Google requirement for managing and publishing your app.
Now let's make the necessary settings in Kuika:
- Open the Configuration Manager screen in Kuika and select the Android tab.
- If you have not configured it before, you should define the settings you need for your Android app.
- Create a new setting under Play Store Settings:
Give your setting a name.
Select the AAB format.
If you have already created a key file, select your .jks file from the Signing Store File field.
If you have not created a key, leave these fields blank and click Create.
- Save the configuration.
- Click on the three dots next to Preview, select Android and then click on Export.
- Download the AAB file from the link sent to your email address.
The next step is to create your app in the Google Play Console:
- Sign in to your Google Play Console account.
- Click on the Create App button on the main screen.
- On the screen that appears;
Application name
Default language of the application
Application type,
Pricing option
Fill in the fields. During the process of filling in these fields, make sure to select App as the application type.
- Read and confirm the agreements and click the Create App button.
- Expand the menu by clicking on Test and Release on the left.
- Click Production.
- By clicking on the Create a new Release button, you can access the area where you can upload the AAB file you downloaded for the release of your application and upload the AAB file.
- On this screen, you can name the Release and enter information about your notes related to the Release.
- When defining the Release annotation, you can select the language code according to the language of the application.
- By clicking Next, you can view the warnings for the definitions required in the next step.
- Then expand the Monitor and Improve heading on the left and click on App Content in the Policy and Programs sub-heading.
- In the Privacy Policy field, add a privacy policy URL.
- If you use advertising in your app through the Ads field, indicate this.
- In the App Access field, specify whether your app requires user login. If login is required, define a user account for testing. In addition, if there are additional authentication methods that you use in your application, such as Two-Factor Authentication, MSAL, etc., you are expected to define these authentication methods.
- Through the Content Rating field, you can perform a short test to determine the suitability for the age group. For the test you perform here, you should consider the functions of your app. You are expected to make your choices in line with the requirements of your app.
- You should specify the target audience of your app through the Target Audience field. In particular, Google expects you to explain whether it is aimed at children.
- Through News Apps you can choose whether your app is a news app or not; if you choose news app, you will be expected to define the information needed.
- In the Data Safety field, you need to provide detailed information about the data your app collects and processes. In this area, which is very important for Google, you need to carry out an accurate and consistent selection process for the data needed for your application.
- In this area, you need to make the relevant selection since the majority of applications developed with Kuika provide authorization with Username, Password and Authentication methods.
- After the relevant selection, you will be asked by Google for a link that allows you to delete the user account. Before this process, you need to create a structure that will provide this function within an application. We add a sample URL here within the scope of sample content.
- Similarly, if you allow deleting user data, you will be asked for a link to the relevant operation.
- On the following screen, you need to make correct and consistent selections for the data to be used in the application.
- One of the important points here is that you need to select Device or other IDs to work with notifications in the applications you develop with Kuika.
- On the following screen, you need to make definitions for the use of data for each data type you will use in your application.
- In this learning content, we make the selections for our sample application.
- On the next screen, you should define the status of ads in your app in the Advertising ID heading.
- If your app is a public or government app, you should share the necessary details in the Government Apps field.
- If your app includes financial services, fill in the Financial Features section.
- If you are working with health-related functions and data in the application you are developing, you need to make explanations under the Health heading.
- In the next step, expand the Grow users drop-down menu on the left. Click on the Store Presence heading. Then click on the Store listings sub-heading.
- Edit how your app will appear in the Google Play store via the Create Default Store Listing button on the screen that opens.
