You can easily test Android applications developed on the Kuika platform using Android Studio. For this process, your Kuika license must allow source code download.

You can complete this process in a 3-step structure:

Let's start with the first step!

  1. Open Configuration Manager view mode.
  2. Create a new configuration setting or open an existing configuration if you already have one.
  3. Switch to the Android tab in the configuration setting and activate the Support Android UI Switch setting.
  4. In the Play Store Settings section, click on the drop-down menu opposite Configuration and select ADD NEW.
  5. On the screen that opens:

Give the Google Play Store Connect API configuration setting a name.

Select APK from the drop-down menu opposite Publish Type.

  1. Click on the CREATE button and after completing the configuration setting, save it by clicking on the SAVE/UPDATE button in the upper right corner.

With these steps, you have completed the first step. Now let's move on to the second step.

  1. On the platform, click on the three dots next to the Preview button at the top of the screen.
  2. From the drop-down menu in the modal that opens, select the setting for which you are performing Android configuration settings.
  3. Export your application by clicking Get Source Code. There is a very important point to remember here. To download the source code, you need to pay a fee in accordance with the licensing terms.

So you have completed the second step. Now we move on to the third and final step!

  1. Extract the exported compressed (.rar) file named AndroidProjectTemplate to a folder on your computer.
  2. Open Android Studio;

On the first screen, open the downloaded project in the Projects tab.

If you don't see it, select the project from the file location by clicking Open.

  1. When the project opens:

Click on the green play button on the top bar to start testing on the Emulator in Android Studio.

Alternatively, you can perform the testing process using a physical Android device. For this

Connect your mobile device to your computer via USB cable. Once connected, the device will appear in the Running Devices menu in the top bar.

Select your device using the Running Devices menu.

  1. If you want to test with a WI-FI connection:

Make sure your computer and device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

From the Running Devices menu, click Pair Devices Using WI-FI.

On the screen that opens, pair your device using either QR Code or Pairing Code.

If you are using a QR Code on your device:

Go to Settings → Developer Options → Wireless Debugging → Pairing Using QR Code.

       If you prefer Pairing Code:

Go to Settings → Developer Options → Wireless Debugging → Pair Device with Pairing Code.

Once you have completed the connection, you can start testing on your physical device.
