Timeline Element: How Do You Use It?

Timeline elements are used to visually present events, tasks, or process steps in chronological order, along with date and status information, to help track the current stage of the process.

Kuika’s Timeline element allows events, tasks, or process steps to be visually presented to the user in chronological order. It can be used to show how a process progresses, which steps have been completed, or events that occurred on specific dates in a clear and organized manner.

From the Data Sources module, follow the Actions > New SQL Action steps to create the GetLeaveTimelineMock action. Test it and save it.

Go to the UI Design module and define the action you created as the Initial Action on your page. Drag and drop the “Timeline” element onto your page. In the Options section, define the Action, Title Field, Description Field, and Color Field in that order. Select Alternate in the Mode field to determine how the Timeline data will be displayed on the screen.

When the application is tested, the permission request process is displayed step-by-step and in chronological order on the Timeline. At each step, the process title, description, and date are presented together. The current status of the process is highlighted with colored indicators, allowing the user to clearly track which stage the permission request is in and view previous steps all on a single screen.
