Radial Chart Element: How to Use It?

A Radial Chart is used to display ratios and performance comparisons across categories (e.g., performance evaluation results) as slices or bars on a circular axis; it is populated by two separate actions (Options and Levels).

The Radial Chart, which visualizes data on a circular axis, enables an intuitive interpretation of the relationships between different categories by representing them as bars or slices along the radial axis in analyses focused on ratios, performance, and comparisons.

We will examine the use of this element through the Performance Evaluation Results scenario. To get started, click the plus icon in the Actions section of the Data Sources module to create the OptionAction using New SQL Action; test and save it. Repeat the same steps for the LevelsAction.

Switch to the UI Design module and add both actions as Initial Actions so that the data is displayed immediately when the page loads. Drag a Label element onto the page, enter your text in the Value field, and set it to Heading 2 in the Style field of the Styling panel. Center the adjacent Column field using Styling Layout. Add a Panel element below it and center it using Styling Layout. Drag and drop the Radial Chart element; change the text in the Text field to “Score.” In the Options section of the Properties panel, define the Action, Slice Label Field, Slice Text Field, Percentage Field, and Point Field. In the Levels section, fill in the Action, Level Text Field, Level Percentage Field, and Level Color Field.

When you click the Preview button, you’ll see a modern and professional analysis screen showing the distribution of your data from the center outward.
