Currency Element: How Do You Use It?

Learn step by step how to create a product registration form using Kuika’s Currency element that allows users to enter values in currency format, with customizable settings such as the decimal separator, number of decimal places, and prefix.

‍

‍

The “Currency” element is an input element that allows users to enter values in currency format in your application.
First, create the table shown on the screen from the “Tables” section in the “Data Sources” area.
Add a “Label” element to your page from the “UI Design” module and enter “Product Name” from the “Value” field. Drag a “Text Input” element below it. Add another “Label” element below that and enter “Product Price” in the “Value” field. Then, add the “Currency” element to your page. Use the “DecimalSeparator” field to specify the character used to separate the decimal part. Set the “Placeholder” field—which displays the placeholder text when no value is entered—to “00,00,” set the “DecimalScale” field to specify the number of decimal places to display, the “AllowNegative” field to determine whether users can enter negative values, and the “Prefix” field to define the text to appear before the value. Add a “Button” element below the “Currency” element and label it “Save.” Use the “Add Action” button to add the “Save Record” action. Select the table and choose all the columns that appear. For the “Price” field, define “Components,” “Currency1,” and “value”; for the “ProductName” field, define “Components,” “Textinput1,” and “value.” Define the “PurchaseDate” field as “Default” and “Now,” and the “Id” field as “Default” and “New Guid.”
When the application is tested, a simple and user-friendly form screen appears for adding and editing products. The screen includes “Product Name” and “Product Price” fields.
