Send WhatsApp Message

Send WhatsApp Message

Send Whatsapp Message action is used to send messages via Whatsapp during the application development process. The function of this action directs the phone number entered in the application to the Whatsapp Web API.

Send Whatsapp Message action is only supported in Web applications.

To add the Send Whatsapp Message action, click +Add Action under the Properties panel.(A)

Click OnClick→ Device →Send Whatsapp Message and add the Send Whatsapp Message action.(A)

Send Whatsapp Message action comes with Phone Number, Message parameters.

  • Phone Number: This is the field where the phone number you want the message to be forwarded to is called.
  • Message: This is the area where the message or the element containing the message is called.

Click Symbol Picker (B) to fill in the parameters in the added action.

You can perform various operations for the added actions via Context Menu (C).

You can easily copy the action with the Copy option. Thus, you gain speed where action repetition is required.

With the Add Confirmation option, you can add a confirmation message for the action to work,

With Add Condition, you can determine that the action you add works in accordance with a certain condition,

You can easily delete the action added with the Remove option.

Example Send Whatsapp Message Usage:

Drag and drop Row to the screen from the Elements panel. Set the Row column structure to 2 from the Properties panel. Then add labels to the columns.

Add Number Input to the first column and Text Area to the second column by drag and drop from the Elements panel. Number input will be used to enter the phone number and Text Area will be used to enter the message. You should also add the Button element to send and trigger this data received from the user.

Click on the added button. Properties panel, click +Add Action in it.

Click OnClick→ Device →Send Whatsapp Message and create the Send Whatsapp Message action.

Click Symbol Picker to bind the Phone Number parameter in the added action to Text Input.

Select Components→TextInput1→ value→ To String.

Click Symbol Picker in the Message parameter. Select Components→ TextArea1→ value.

Then click the Run button.

On the screen that opens, type the phone number to which the message will be sent and the message and click the button.

You will be redirected to the WhatsApp screen with the button.
