Kuika's Send WhatsApp Message action allows you to send messages directly from your app via WhatsApp. It makes it possible for users to communicate quickly and efficiently using their WhatsApp account.

This action automates the messaging process and helps you instantly share important information or notifications with users. For example, when a user completes an action or triggers a specific action in your app, this action will automatically send a WhatsApp message.

Send WhatsApp Message action is only supported in web apps.

Add Send WhatsApp Message Action

  1. Log in to the Kuika platform.
  2. Open the project you will work on from the Apps screen.
  3. While in the UI Design module, open the Properties panel on the right side.
  1. Select Initial Actions → Device → Send WhatsApp Message from the +ADD ACTION drop-down menu.
  2. Configure the following fields from the drop-down menu:
  • Phone Number: This is the field where you will enter the phone number to which you want the message to be forwarded.
  • Message: This is the field where you can specify the content of the message you want to send.

Send WhatsApp Message Action Application Steps

1. Open your project on the Kuika Platform

  • Log in to Kuika.
  • Select the relevant project from the Apps screen.

2. Add a Button or Trigger in the UI Design Module

  • Write a phrase such as ‘Send WhatsApp Message’ in the Label section of the button.

3. Add the Send WhatsApp Message Action

  • Select the button and add the Device > Send WhatsApp Message action from the + ADD ACTION menu according to the desired trigger event (Initial Actions, OnClick, OnBlur, etc.).

4. Configure Action Parameters

  • Phone Number: Enter the phone number to which the message will be sent in international format (e.g. +905xxxxxxxxx).
  • Message: Specify the message content to be sent as fixed text or dynamic data.

Use Case: Send Automatic WhatsApp Message After Order Confirmation

In an e-commerce application, an order confirmation message is automatically sent via WhatsApp when the user completes the order.

  1. In the UI Design module, add a ‘Send Confirmation Message’ button to the screen that appears after the order is completed, or link this action directly to the completion process.
  2. Add the Send WhatsApp Message action to the button or completion trigger.
  3. In the parameters, dynamically transfer the user's phone number from an action result to the Phone Number field.
  4. In the Message field, write the confirmation text containing the order information.
  5. When the user completes the order, a WhatsApp message is automatically sent to the specified number.

Send WhatsApp Message Action Advanced Customisations

  • Personalising Message Content: You can personalise the message text by enriching it with dynamic data such as user name, order number, and date.
  • Conditional Message Delivery: You can send messages based on specific conditions. For example, messages can be triggered only for certain products, campaigns, or user segments.
  • Sending to Different Recipients: Messages can be sent to different phone numbers or group chats according to the scenario. This enables targeted communication.
  • Delivery Scheduling: Action triggers can be planned to send messages at specific times or with delays.

Technical Risks

  • Phone Number Format: Incorrectly formatted numbers prevent messages from being sent.
  • WhatsApp User: The recipient's phone number must have an active WhatsApp account.

The Send WhatsApp Message action is a practical and effective solution for fast and automatic WhatsApp communication in Kuika web applications. It is suitable for a wide range of applications with its easy configuration and dynamic parameters.
