Retry Process Instance

Kuika's Retry Process Instance action is used to restart a business process that has failed or has been paused due to an error. Retry Process Instance is effective for ensuring that business processes continue uninterrupted and minimizing errors.

For example, when a business process stops due to lack of data or system error, the process can be restarted from the beginning using the Retry Process Instance action. Thus, potential interruptions in the workflow are corrected and the process is made operational again.

With this action:

  • Allows you to restart business processes that have stopped due to an error.
  • It makes it possible to restart processes from the very beginning.
  • Helps workflows to proceed uninterrupted and error-free.
  • Automates processes by reducing the need for manual intervention.

Retry Process Instance action is supported in web and mobile apps.

Add Retry Process Instance Action

  1. Log in to the Kuika platform.
  2. Open the project you will work on from the Apps screen.
  3. While in the UI Design module, open the Properties panel on the right side.
  1. Select Initial Actions → Process Administration → Retry Process Instance from the +ADD ACTION drop-down menu.
  2. Then configure the following fields:
  • Process ID: Enter the unique ID number that identifies the business process to be restarted.

When this action is run:

  • The specified business process is restarted from the beginning.
  • Processes that were stopped due to an error will resume.
  • Workflows are restarted without any problems.

After completing these steps, the Retry Process Instance action will be successfully added. Thus, you can eliminate interruptions in your workflows and ensure that processes run smoothly.
