Example of Connecting a Data Source with MSSQL

About this lesson

You can quickly and easily integrate your MSSQL data source into applications developed with Kuika.

In this learning content, we will connect an external MSSQL data source to the Bir Fikrim Var! web application developed with Kuika as part of the Kuika Academy courses, using an example scenario.

  1. To establish an MSSQL data source connection, open the Datasources module.
  2. In the Datasources module, click the + icon on the left to open the Create Datasource screen.
  3. In the screen that opens, select MSSQL DB, name it, and proceed.
  4. In the MSSQL data source addition screen, you can manually define the information related to the MSSQL database or enable the Use Connection String Switch to define the Connection String information.
  5. Let's proceed by defining the Connection String information in the example scenario.
  6. In this example scenario, we will proceed by adding the MSSQL database of a different Workspace located in Kuika.
  7. Define the Connection String information for the MSSQL database and proceed.
  8. Click the Test button to test the connection.
  9. When you see the success notification, click the Create button to complete the data source connection.
  10. A new data source will be added to the Sources panel on the left side of the Datasources module.
  11. You can carry out your development process by creating actions within the added data source.

By following similar steps, you can integrate your own MSSQL data source and use it in your application development process.
