Data source connection with Swagger

Working with the Swagger Data Source

About this lesson

You can connect to the Swagger APIs you have in the application development process you carry out with Kuika and use your Swagger APIs as data sources in the applications you develop in Kuika.

Swagger is a widely used framework for documenting, testing, and developing RESTful APIs. Using the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) standards, you can define the structure of your APIs in JSON or YAML format and integrate these APIs into the Kuika platform for quick use.

You can enable Swagger integration in Kuika with different authorization methods and use the methods available in Swagger within your application. For example, you can retrieve data from a screen in an application via the Swagger API and perform data binding operations on the screen.

You can quickly and easily integrate your Swagger API into applications developed with Kuika through the Datasources module. To add a new data source, simply click the “+” icon in the module. In the screen that opens, select the Swagger API option, name it, and proceed to the connection screen.

In the Swagger connection screen, you must first define a Swagger URL and Service Base URL.

After defining the relevant URL, you will be asked to enter the authorization information for the Swagger API. During the authorization information definition process, you can select one of the options No Auth (no authorization), Bearer, Basic, or API Key and define the required information and parameters.

After entering the information and making the definitions, you can establish the data source connection using the CREATE button.

With Kuika and Swagger API integration, you can develop fast, secure, and flexible applications. By defining your APIs with Swagger, you can accelerate your application development process with Kuika's low-code advantages and create manageable and scalable applications.
