Search Service is a service used for data search and management operations in your applications. By configuring this setting in the Kuika Configuration Manager module, you can manage search queries and optimize data access.

How to Adjust Search Service Settings?

1. Add Configuration to Application

• Log in to the Kuika platform.
• Open the project you will work on from the Apps screen.
• Click on the Configuration Manager module.

• On the screen that opens, give the configuration a name and click the CREATE button.

2. Configure Search Service Settings

• After creating a new configuration, open the App Settings screen.

• Go to the Search Service section.
• Click on the Default drop-down menu.
• Select ADD NEW from the drop-down menu.
• In the pop-up window that opens, configure the following settings:
  
  • Name: Name to give to the search service configuration.
  • Base Url: The base URL that establishes the connection to the search service (e.g. allows sending queries through the Search Service API ).
  • Vector Database Service Port: The port number of the vector database service used for similarity-based searching of large and complex datasets.
  • Python Service Port: The port number of the Python service that enables the search service to communicate with the vector database and performs operations such as adding resources and searching.
  • Storage Path: The directory where the data, indexes and results of the search service are stored.

3. Test Settings

• Click on the three dots next to the Preview button at the top of the application.

• Click the RUN button from the menu that opens.
• When the process is complete, test that the search service works with the specified configurations.
